Main objectives pursued by the Council of Indian Exhibition Organisers

  • To bring together all the exhibition organizers and show managers on a common platform in order to find a working solution for the development of the Exhibition Organising Industry.
  • To form a collective forum for discussion, negotiation, and representation with government bodies, venue owners, vendors, and contractors.
  • To provide a one-stop source of information pertaining to the exhibition industry.
  • To pitch to Ministry to get Industry Status for the Indian Exhibition Sector.
  • Represent to the Government to provide a level playing field by making Government schemes and subsidies available to private organisers.
  • Represent to the Government to devise a merit-based model to award contracts for organising/ managing government events to private organisers.
  • Represent the Ministry of Finance on taxation issues such as GST, TDS, etc.
  • To represent the Exhibition Organisers in all matters, nationally and internationally in relation to Government, media, and the public.
  • To share best practices amongst the members by organising training programmes, activities, workshops, seminars, networking forums for the benefit of its members and industry at large.
  • To carry out surveys and studies for providing statistics and information to the members and industry.
  • To formulate and implement standards, practices, code of ethics, and audit guidelines for the overall development and credibility of the exhibitions.
  • To protect and promote the common interest of its members and industry at large.
